Unable to change E-Recruitment Email Address / Username in Core E-Recruit

This issue usually occurs because the Change E-recruitment Email Address / Username functionality is not enabled.

Step 1: Turn on Change Email Address Option

This will change the email address for the applicant for their applicant recruitment account - Switch on this option if you want to allow the user to change their email address for notification alerts and for future applications.

  1. Click Portal, Recruitment, Toolbox, Recruitment Admin.

  2. Click Navigation Section, My Account and enable the Change Email Address option.

  3. Click Portal, Recruitment, Toolbox, Recruitment Admin.

  4. Select My Account.

  5. Ensure the Change Email Address options (listed below) are all selected:

    • Allowed change email address

    • Change email section heading

    • Old Email Address

    • New Email Address

    • Confirm Email Address

    • Change

    • Email change request failure message

    • Email details updated message Email change failure message

    • New and confirm email addresses do not match

    • New and confirm email not entered

  6. If you want users to enter their password when changing their email address you can also select the Password option.

Step 2: Configure Change Email Address Alert

This is an email alert that can be configured to send to the applicant after they have changed their email address. This is to allow the applicant to verify that the new email address by selecting the link within the email that is sent to the applicant.

  1. In Core back office, click CorePersonnel, Recruitment, Recruitment Reference, E-Recruitment Web Parameters, Email Parameters, Applicant Email Change

  2. Click Details.

  3. The message which sends to the alert can be configured.

Step 3: Ensure URL is configured

  1. In Core back office, Navigate to CorePersonnel, Recruitment, Recruitment Reference, E-Recruitment Web Parameters, Web Parameters.

  2. Ensure Applicant_Change_Email_URL is populated with a valid URL.

Note: Internal applicant email addresses will be the same as their email address within the PeopleXD system. This is the email address that will be used when applying as an internal applicant. If an applicant wishes to apply to a vacancy with a different email address, they will need to create a new applicant account with that new email address and they will be flagged as an external applicant.
