Emails not delivering to hotmail email address

A user has tried to reset the password through eRecruitment. The email is listed in the email queue and appears to be processed, but no email is delivered to the applicant's Hotmail email address. It's not appearing in the user's junk mail either.

This issue usually occurs when there has been some incorrect configuration on the EMS Parameter Maintenance screen.

To resolve this:

  1. Go to Data Centre, click View All

  2. Search for EMS Parameter Maintenance and open it

  3. Ensure that the contents of the EMS Username field match that of the Administrator Email field. If these fields do not match (it should be [email protected] for both fields), Hotmail will view the email as junk mail, and skip the applicant's inbox entirely.
